thats odd. so if you own the production rights that doesn't mean that you are the maker? norinco comes to mind with many different factories making guns under the same FRT.

Manufacture and make can be the same, but not always. Sometimes a manufacture will own multiple brands and sell under those makes.
There are several chinese sks frt entries, each noting different factory markings, as an example. And many more for m305 types.
With AR15 rifles, Colt has numerous frt entries. An ar15a2 and ar15a2 have different frt entries. The sa20 and sa15.7 have different frt entries even thought the lowers are identical.
The frt is an encyclopaedia of guns. Not a classification system.

do you have access to FRT entries? the fact that they dont make them public knowledge (other than ease of conversion) is ridiculous.

I do. And yes, it is. But they are in it for the money. They sell the information abroad. Should be public.

There are only a few possibilities. Dsa could be there, but maybe not from AE. Wiselite is a potential. Project Guns I'm not sure what they use.
Ain't much of a game getting jerked around by government types and dealer alike. Both give about as much information as the other. Both got your money, directly or through tax.

The dealer is not getting any info from the lab either. Both the buyers and the seller are in the same boat. If the retailer doesn't have information to provide in an update, it is hard to give them crap for not having it.
