I can only imagine the look on CBSA faces and then probably Homeland security and the back to CBSA maybe the FBI and interpol and finally the RCMP http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=494932862 It is a long shot .

alas "No international shipments."

But 11 hrs to go, no reserve, and no bids yet, perhaps not to late to find someone with a US address to get it and figure out how to get it here.

(would ITAR apply to this?)

Talk to gunnar at armco in Prince George seen one listed on his site a couple months back worst comes to worst u can talk to El Chapo

Not exactly cheap, but these guys have all kinds of things that would make awesome displays (most appear to even have NSN's and even some ITAR controlled things like Claymore practice kits that look nearly just like the training ones in the CF).

RPG-7 here;

You should even bring some in and put it on your site. I bet you could sell tonnes of it.

Actually, I have to agree with critter. I've considered getting an SVD. Some of the airsoft copies have real wood furniture and look amazing. Not so much for display but as a template to convert an SVT-40 to SVD-look-alike.

Worth considering.

I'm curious if anyone knows if "DEMILLED TO ATF SPECIFICATIONS" is equivalent to our 'Dewat' status in Canada?
Do our boys in red recognize 'ATF Demilled' as the same thing, or do they have their own rules to declare it a non-firearm?
That's the key. I also read a long time back that there is also a Canadian import restriction I believe on so-called 'replica guns' whatever that means.

edit: BTW, GB auction ended and it didn't sell. $895.00 USD starting price and no takers.

Anything deactivated comes in considered as real. Thus you need to import authority to import a real rpg. Then once the import clears they determine if it is dewat.

Hence why dewats aren't flooding into canada regularly.

Dewat or not controlled goods will be all over it. I was offered a container full of dewat stuff like that ranging from hand grenades to 14 foot long SAMs for free a couple of years ago. The importer was going through the ringer with the CGD and I was one of the few people who could take it off his hands legally. They don't seem to care if it was made non functional because even some small non-concequential parts are considered controlled goods. Your best bet is to try to find one in country that is from a private collection. They don't seem to care much about those at the moment.

So all those dewat AK's another dealer has brought in were brought in as real Ak's. A gun that is probably as prohibited as an RPG. I find that hard to believe but if it's true that dealer is the guy chemist needs to talk to then.

Yup. They were. Marstar imports prohibs all the time. Part of their business licence.

Business licence can include dealing in prohibs. Not always. Depends on the business licence.

last time I had a go around with CGD over this stuff the definition of the dewat on launchers, mortars etc was "useable tube". So Dewating an RPG-7 by disabling the trigger block etc won't qualify it. They want the tube cut through all the way which makes it next to impossible with the design of the RPG-7. I suggested slot cutting the front so it wouldn't support the rockets. We tried on one and the result was less than good. I know a guy who parted one back from the Stan but me things he is now dug into the forrest up north and not taking calls

Years back I bought a airsoft RMW RPG-7B off a site in Hong Kong and had it shipped in two separate parcels. The one with the trigger assembly, warhead and exhaust port made it in and the other was held by customs and they wanted to destroy it. They stated I could ship it back to sender and when I asked them to they said they couldn't because it was a dangerous item.......scratching my head I'm thinking it's a couple of pieces of wood and aluminum. In the end I had UPS go down to the customs holder, pick it up and ship it back at a expense and have them in Hong Kong ship it back to Canada in four separate parcels.

Around the same time I bought a replica Panzerfaust 60 out of Eastern Europe and the warhead made it through and the launcher tube was held by customs for four weeks and then released via mail. They looked up what it was actually worth as I had it valued at $40 to cut duties and they charged the appropriate duties. They also put "Rocket Launcher" on the new description....the postal worker that delivered it couldn't help but ask about it.

I'm looking to bring in a inert empty M136 84mm AT4 into Canada, anyone know what customs would say about one of those either if I declared it driving across or had it mailed in?

IIRC, If I understand US law correctly, the BATFE requires a hole in the side of the tube the same diameter as the tube is.

I saw one for sale at a Vancouver area gun show about 20 years ago.
About $400, IIRC.
I saw the guy later, he said it did not sell, so he kept it to rent to the movie industry.
No idea where he is now.
