Ruger 10/22 bull barrels

It's going to be sporter chambered.
Fella that I talked to said the the x-treme won't chamber CCI ammo. I have 8,000 rounds of CCI ammo (as well as other stuff) so I'd like to use it.

They're cutting the chamber and blueing it today, should be shipped in a couple of days.
Got the stock (Boyds blue thumbhole) ordered. Just need to pick up a donor action and some internal parts.

Do you just need the bolt and parts? ... or the receiver also... if you call Dlask back and order a DAR22 receiver Joe will fit your barrel for you free of charge... attachment of the wheeled chassis will be extra though...

Or as an alternative, you could get a gym membership and work on getting some "Arnold" pipes... or now that I think about it... forget the gym membership... hauling that MASSIVE Dlask barrel around should be enough of a workout.

I was told the same thing and I feed mine nothing but CCI and never an issue.

It depends on the Lot # of CCI ammo... some is made slightly longer than standard... which can cause issues in the Xtreme chamber... but, even with a tight chamber and an oversized lot, you can still "shoot in" a chamber... I had our Tac builds up and running flawlessly with Mini-Mag solids after a couple bricks... but I do keep the chamber and action clean... the "upside" is increased accuracy.

Maybe that's what I've done over time since I have been buying CCI from different stores in different quantities for over a year now and it runs flawlessly, even if it DOES get a bit dirty. :)

It's weird though, the 110 lb girl I took to the range on the weekend was able to shoulder one just fine...lol

Seriously though OP, you made an awesome choice, I know you'll be happy.

On the CCI/Xtreme chamber topic, IMHO that's just a blanket statement really. I fed mine all sorts of CCI Velocitors, blazers, and SV's, etc with no issues. It's the Stinger cases that are longer and could cause problems in a Bentz chamber. I'm assuming it's just safer to say CCI, vs. singling out one load (especially since they could always start using that case in other loads, such as the new high velocity segmenting one).

I need the reciever and internals, so I'll hit the swap meet here in town and whatever gun shows I can find in the near future. Probably end up buying a new 10/22 and gutting it for the parts.
I could strip the wife's 10/22, but then she'd be P.O.'d at me and I'd have to buy her a new rifle anyway.

Well... Joe makes the barrels and he doesn't recommend using Velocitor's or Segmented in the Xtreme chamber... and definitely no Stingers or other "hyper" ammo's either... I tend to heed most manufacturers recommendations unless it is clearly a liability CYA sort of thing... I don't need more than Mini-Mags offer... and they are accurate to boot.

P.S - Nice job on the Arnie pic!!! ;)

That's a fair point about Joe, I should state that has only been my experience, and of course YMMV. The vast majority of my shooting was done with CCI SV's as they gave me the best performance.

Thought you might appreciate the pic lol

Hey are those rimfire technologies triggers ? Is there anywhere in canada that stocks rt products

They are RT TG's and no, there are no Canadian vendors anymore... there were two that would ship to Canada, but ITAR/BATF regulations shut them down... too bad, I just sold my last two RT trigger groups.
