I own Brownings but not the Buckmark .22. I own several Ruger 1022's and absolutely love them. Straight out of the box they are OK and Do Not rival high end bolt action .22s for accuracy. If you like to upgrade and play around, the Ruger 1022 platform is cheap and versatile. One truth! I own a fluted SS bull barrelled target model with a 10x milldot scope that you can connect the dots at 100 yards. For a hunting weapon, you hire a gun bearer and will eat mostly just dedicated target ammo without problem. I highly recommend one. Not Me. A 22 that weighs as much as a Garand and desires expensive target ammo for reliability is a very poor walking around all day in cattle pastures gopher rifle.
