So I went out and dropped 425 taxes in on a little 10/22 takedown. I have heard so many good things about this gun, so i decided i would get one. Bought mine yesterday. It's my first semi auto 22, Im used to flawlessly reliable bolt 22's, and also used to different brands of ammo grouping differently.
Took it out to the local shooting pit and passed about 200-250 rounds through it. Cci blazers, federal bulk 36gr hollow point, american eagle 40gr solid lead, federal solid lead 38gr, and about 25 winchester super x 37 grain jhp. The rifle suffered repeated and continuous FTE's, and stovepipes. The only thing it ran smooth and shot well with, was the win super x. I only shot about 25 rounds of it though, so it might have been a fluke.
To say that i am dissapointed is an understatement. These things are supposed to be superb. Im going to try a few things, like loosing the barrel adjustment nut, (on tight just tight enough so that the gun wouldn't rattle, 1 click looser and it rattled), and Im going to try passing more winchester ammo through it. I will update as i go. Any advice would be much appreciated.
