Thinking about getting one of these guys up here. Nice looking gun.. though for the money to get it up here.. makes it super debatable haha. Anyone else 'overpay' for somewhat of a collectors edition? There were 500 made of these.

Is it all about vanity or there are other built, mechanics, quality differences too? I have to admit, it is an attractive gun.

I'd never shoot it.

So it'll be kind of a waste for me.

Too many safe queens as is.

Gorgeous pistol though...Talo exclusives are always a treat to see.

I like it, but I'm a 1911 guy (17 of them in the collection now)

As of this coming week, 2 more arriving, well kind of 2 more 1911's....only one registration though slip for "them"....)

I think you should buy it. Special run guns are never a bad idea.

So when did Ruger get a contract to supply Special Forces? The 1911 carried by some "Teams" is the SIG. So I could see SIG putting out such a pistol, but Norinco would have as much credibility selling a Seal Team pistol as Ruger does

Yep, that about sums it up. Another boring 1911, and another pathetic attempt by Ruger to capitalize on the "special forces/Tactical" fan base. Ruger did the same thing with their SR556 AR's, nothing special about them, other than the carrier tilt and excessive weight.
