I have a slab barrel one and I like it, had about seven hundred rounds and no sign of any wear. I guess you don't have to replace anything for at least ten thousands rounds. clean and lub nicely after use.
Put a Volquartsen sear in it for a sweet/cheep trigger job first. Our 22/45s have maybe 20k each. Volquartsen make a great extractor too, that's the only thing that may wear out.
Mine has one year now. About 1500 rounds and 2 cleaning session later i've never experienced a single malfonction that is not ammo related. And even when i use real cheap ammo's it doesn't appened often (maybe 1-2 per 500 rounds). Very satisfied overall. BUT, it is true that the grip is a little small, even for normal size hands. If i could do it again, i'd rather buy the standard MkIII model for the different grip option.
