Ruger Alaskan Stainless in 375 or 416

I was looking to add one to my stable for sometime but never found one in stock during that search. I ended up buying a Ruger Guide Gun in 338WM and a CZ550 in 416 Rigby instead.

From all accounts the 416 Ruger is the better choice for reloading, more affordable factory ammo costs and less recoil.
That's a shame but it never hurts (pun intended) to own two in .416.
There Ruger .416 dies in the EE now, if you need for the future.

I love the cz550 (mine's in 9.3x62) and the 416 Rigby ctg. One hell of a combo.

I'm surprised there isn't more love for the Ruger .416.
An African ctg in an affordable and very good/reliable Ruger platform.
Mine's in stainless. It's not too heavy but is no more than a 12ga. kick.

I like the 416 Ruger now that I own one (by chance on a deal I couldn't pass up), but I'm not sure if I would have sought one out... although the black stainless Ruger 416 has always caught my eye.

Here's mine... a Martini and Hagn built on a commercial 98 Mauser action... sorry about the watermarks:

Man!
That's nice.
Looks like you have plenty of ammo.
Have you been able to use it much?

I lucked out and at the same time the rifle became available, I think it was Epps who had the ammo on a steep discount. Mind you, this is going back to 2015, I believe, and everything was cheaper then! I've only shot about a box through the rifle, and only at the range --- I do have the reloading dies and some of the Speer 350gr bullets that I'd like to try, but never enough time to share between life's obligations and all the rifles I'd love to be shooting.

One of my buddies has the 375 Alaskan. It is difficult to find ammo on the shelf and expensive if it is available but I love the compact design and the ballistics with its heavy bullets. If I did not already have a 375H&H that I do not use, I would buy the 375Ruger to become another Safe Queen.
