RUGER Butler Creek 25's Mags, Did they just get hit by the 10 round mag limit?

Why should any foriegn arms maker cater to Canadian asinine laws? We're a drop in their bucket and they don't owe us nothin'.
Try placing the blame directly where it belongs. On us wimpy Canadians who won't stand up to our oppresive governments.

they don't have to cater to us, they simply make these pistols unavailable here, place it right on their website, NOT AVAILABLE IN CANADA done. fixed, all good, instead they are fully aware of the reprocussions here for us, and do you seriously believe these companies would be content on losing Canadian business????? there are prob thousands and thousands of 10/22's here, we are not a drop in the bucket and they do owe us something like any company owes its paying customers, and many Canadian gun owners try their hardest to stand up for themselves and the laws. I did place the blame directly where it belongs Ruger.

One shop 29.98 for Hot Lips

29.99 for Steel Lips at another.

I got a Steel Lip mag from a buddy and price was 32.99

CT seems like 27-32$ it seems for BC.

Pinned BC steel lipped mag.
Sending mags out for pinning isn't free.

These mags have a value added feature.

Yes, they are less scary from this fine young gent's perspective

Well looks the public safety minister will be getting flooded with e-mails!

Talking with the RCMP about these issues is like banging your head on a brick wall..

I was recently in Maine and the Ruger BX-25 magazines now do not mention the Charger pistol on the package, just the 3 rifles. Would these be able to be sold in Canada? I prefer the actual Ruger products so if this new label complies with Canadian law, maybe we will see them soon.

I have some of the Butler Creek steel lips and they are hit-and-miss with feeding sometimes so I am hopeful. (Unpinned, of course).

Sorry thats a no for the bx25 mags.
The dealers catalogue says the bx25 and bx25x2 are for both.
Iirc the ruger website still lists the bx25 as for both.
However on both the website and packaging of the bx25x2 it says its only for the rifle.
I have a court date for the CITT and the classification of these mags. I have 3 being held by customs.

That is extremely disappointing, especially since the packaging doesn't state anything about handguns, just the .22 rifle.

I hope you're successful in court, that seems like an absolutely ridiculous law in the first place. The package indicates rifles only, and you can purchase 110-round drum mags for the same rifle perfectly legally.

If you ARE successful, hopefully that sets a precedent for the rest of us. The more I learn about the "gray" areas of Canadian gun laws, the less sense it makes.
