Ruger Charger stock mod

I am interested in acquiring a Ruger Charger which is classified as a restricted firearm (HYBRID: technically a long pistol but short to be a rifle). Basically of a 10/22 platform, with a short bull-barrel, I was thinking of modifying the stock to accommodate either a removable skeletonized stock, a side folding stock or a retractable stock. Will there be an issue regarding the classification and ownership of this firearm if any of these options is pursued?

Did you replace the stock? Or just added a side folder? Can you post a picture?

Once restricted...always restricted, as receiver is marked "Charger".

moparlover what kind of setup is that? is that a drop in stock kit or a modded sr22? this looks way better then any archangel ive seen.....plz do tell me how you did it haha

looks like a troy chassis with a folding stock adapter and a really short barrel with a flash hider? Plus an aftermarket shortened hand guard and a bushnell T-dot. Looks like a storm trooper blaster! awesome

nordic components "frame", 6" threaded barrel, standard AR accessories, power custom charging handle, the best i've tried. bushnell red dot. forgot what the name of the piece [joint] that permits the stock to fold is called. lots of fun
