The Ruger M77 Alaskan has been catching my eye lately. Just something about the look of that rifle I really like. Now my local shop has one used in .416 Ruger. The caliber is completely overkill for anything I would ever shoot but i think I am ok with that. What are your opinions on the rifle and caliber? Should I do it. I have a couple Ruger M77's and am very happy with them. Anyone have an Alaskan? How hard is that caliber to find ammo for. I reload so that will help keep the cost down a bit but will I be able to find components for it? What do you guys think i should do. Run out and grab it or find something different to spend my cash on?
