Ruger Marlin 1894 stock damage from UPS?

I suspect the only reason they helped in this instance was because the OP purchased the additional shipping "insurance". I also suspect the money paid went to a Tenda self insurance kitty and did not actually pay for insurance through a shipper which would have likely taken months to resolve a claim and may have not even been ultimately successful. After reselling the broken rifle and "insurance" fee its quite possible this was net neutral or better deal for the merchant and ultimately a satisfied customer. I still hate the idea of paying extra money on top of the stiff shipping fees you already paid(directly or indirectly).
My package also had shipping insurance, Tenda rejected the claim saying UPS tracking says delivered.

Nah, technically Tenda did, they claimed UPS delivered it meaning my shipping insurance was no longer valid, UPS claimed Tenda only gave them one box on the manifest, which was delivered with proof (UPS did take an image of the one box delivered outside the door, which I received.
After 2 months of shifting the blame i just called my CC, explained them the situation, provided them an itemized copy of everything ordered, and what was received, and they reverted the charge for all the items that were missing.
A week later Tenda sent me an email saying I owed them money, sent them emails from the CC, and their old conversation thread. They never responded after that.
Awww. Good for you, I am glad they didn't cheat you further.

Tenda will never see a dime from me.

I use to spend over $35,000.00 a year in my own gun shop ( had a financial backer). I was allowed a 15% discount from the posted public price, our mark-up was an average of 30%. Twenty five percent on firearms. Spent way too much money over those 3.75 years.

But we now have everything we need other than the occasional pound of powder to try different loads.

It's a good feeling not to need anything as far as ammo, accessories and hunting supplies go. It's our passion, it's what we do and who we are.

Love the outdoors!.......:)

Since you had one tracking number but it said that it was 3 parcels on the tracking 1/3, 2/3, 3/3 (which showed that it must have been 3 boxes), how could UPS claim that one parcel was enough - as per their own picture?

Tenda now ships each box with their own tracking number by the way.

UPS manifest did not say anything about three boxes. TENDA had marked the boxes 1/3, 2/3, 3/3 on the boxes in sharpie,
The box on the UPS label did not match the dimensions of the box I got delivered.

Hence why UPS raised their hands and blamed tenda, and tenda said they shipped 3 boxes under the same tracking number.

CC claimed it is Tenda’s fault for shipping incorrectly hence reverted funds. I can only imagine tenda did ship the boxes but screwed up the manifest, which is probably why they never got back to me after that inquiry.

UPS is the worse excuse for a company. I shipped out a scope mount that week. I had my own label with all address info on a re packaged small amazon box, the employee some how printed a new label and attached it to a random package and sent my buyer a pair of jeans.

These Morons can't even manage one package at a time. They also damaged a rifle I got last year so bad the site broke off like It was tossed off a building.

Needless to say I'll gladly wait for CP again
There are good and bad UPS drivers. Some were amazing but some not so good. I bought ammunition shipped via UPS and requiring a signature. I stayed home waiting for the ammo. When I looked out my window, late morning, the 1,000 round ammo was sitting on my walkway, 5 feet from the door. Didn't even ring my door bell.

This happens a lot. Last was an expensive firearm (signature required) sitting on my front porch. I always sign up for delivery notification and rushed home when I saw "delivered". It could have very easily been stolen. The UPS drivers here are mostly young guys working just over minimum wage. They don't like to deliver to private addresses since it often takes longer. If you are not home that day or cannot make it home in a few minutes, it is better to avoid UPS.
