Bob, some of the trigger parts are 10/22 parts, you may find aftermarket parts to shorten the reset.

errrrrr...... besides the safety i don't think any of the tripper parts are exactly the same.
i know they are close and i know people have interchanged them but i had heard that they where actually a little different in dimensions.

i suppose i could take both of mine down and dig out some calipers and compare.

maybe ill add that to my list of things to do once the snow starts to fall.

Saw in a North Pro paper flyer that they are listing the Ruger regular PCC with plastic front end, and also a different version with the metal tubular front end for higher price.

For those of us who have the original hand guard model and are trying to figure out how to mount a light and a sling at the same time.
Brownells has the m-lok adapters that fit over your forend rail on sale right now.
44$ US
I just ordered one so now I can pass on the good news

Also an FYI, a surefire XC2 fits perfectly on the small picatinny section at the front, while still allowing for a sling swivel

Anyone have suggestions as to improving the trigger? I don't mind the pull, but the reset on the factory trigger is a joke... Was messing around last week with mine attempting quick double taps inside 25 yds, and it can't be done. That being said, I'm not used to blowback pcc's like this, so maybe these rifles just cycle slower than I'm attempting to pull the trigger?

If you shoot a lot of revolver you have less of a problem with the reset I think. When I am running my PCC I shoot it like I do my Smiths and Ruger GP-100. Short stroking the PCC gets you the same result as short stroking a revolver ie nothing goes bang. I found once I got used to it fast double taps are doable, just not quite as fast as some of my pistols. If there is a way of shortening the reset I have not heard of it...yet.

2 things i got for my PCC here in the last month that i thought other people may be interested in.

1) ordered 4x 10/17 round magazines for the SR9 (cause im running the original magazines).
if anyone is looking for oversized Ruger magazines pinned of course to 10 there is a importer out of BC who's name we can not mention has them listed on their US site and will pin them when they bring them in if you order them, i picked up 4, will be here end of December.

2) finally pulled the pin and ordered a magazine pouch for the buttstock of the rifle.
went with Spector Gear Tactical out of the states.
super nice people to deal with, they DO SHIP TO CANADA! (so ya for that!)
you cant order off the site for shipping to Canada, you have to email them directly and put in your order.
super nice people to deal with.
with conversion i figure i paid $75 per for mine. (i ordered 2, one for my PC9 and one for my PCC)
they come in Left and Right handed and colors of Black , OD, Camo, Coyote, Foliage green (???)

some nice little upgrades for the old plinker's.
next ill be trying to flesh out the magwel and oversized mag release and possibly colored charging handle.
i see ShopRuger.com has them listed, which would mean that Snapshot could order those in.... but they are soooooo expensive!

I just saw this. Pricey but sounds promising...

$350 Cdn plus taxes and shipping is quite a sum for so little gain. I am going to spend my time learning to release the trigger before pulling it. I worked on doing this at the range today and I could double tap on target about the same as I do with my PPQ so it might be awhile before I go looking for something like this. Lots might benefit from the upgrade though. I converted to CDN$ @ 1.30.

if im not mistaken mec-gar makes the majority of OEM magazines for the world wide gun manufactures.
while they may be branded Ruger or some other company chances are they where made by mec-gar.

This is on the very short list of my first firearm to purchase. I will be reading my way through this entire thread so thank you for all the posts and information in here!
