Ruger PC9 Take Down 9mm Carbine

Yes! Get them in non-resstricted! Looks like a fun plinker as is! Chamber it in .45acp and they'll have a great brush gun for whitetails too. Makes me wish they still made the 96 in .44mag as well!

Looks like we made that much noise, Ruger has said they are now looking at a non restricted version for north of the border.

Either way, it works as IRG usually has good prices.

I'm in for one, I have a JR carbine and would rather have the Ruger

We have them coming in this month along with the Ruger Precision in 22LR although we are sure how many we will receive right out of the gate. Ruger at this point has no future plans to build a 18.5+ barrel for the 9MM carbine rifle although we do depending on how many we sell.

I think all the people who think it's "Fugly" will come around quickly if these come in around $850, specially when the 10mm option comes out..... :)
Grand Slam for Ruger.

" Future plans call for an optic plate that would replace the rear sight assembly to allow mounting of a reflex sight directly to the barrel."

Looks like fun.

But the picatinny rail should be on the front portion, not the receiver.

I have a Ruger 10/22 takedown rifle. Love the gun.

But I could not get a red-dot to hold zero while mounted on the receiver.
The point of impact would change considerably, just depending on how you held the forend with your left hand.

I found an optics mount for the barrel portion (made byTapco) and now the rifle is perfect.
It holds zero 100%.

The rear sight/rail mount option is a no brainer for sure.... they should collaborate with Magpul for a backpacker option..... :)

Ruger is indeed working on NR version: reply i Got from the ruger ask the ceo contact
We know there is a lot of interest in this rifle if we could produce a non-restricted version. Our product team is currently reviewing design and options – we certainly hope to be able to offer a “Canadian” configuration. Once finalized, we will immediately provide full details to distribution chain in Canada.

Should you have any questions or concerns in the meantime please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

I emailed Ruger and received a similar response.

We are currently looking at non-restrictive options for Canada for this model. We appreciate your comments and have passed them along.

Regards,

Ruger Customer Service

If everyone on this board who is interested in this rifle contacts Ruger asking for a NR version it should increase our chances of it actually happening.

Good idea, I'll send them an email too. If anything it will let them know it will be worth selling up here
