Ruger Problems

I find that with the butler creek mags they do take some breaking in. BUT what really helped me with this problem was making sure that once the butler creek mag was in the gun to also make sure it was pused forward as far as possible. There is a little play with the butler creek mags VS the stock ruger 10 shot ones. New butler creek mags tend to sit back in the mag slot. Wiggle and play around with them until they get pushed forward. This fixed that issue for me.

mine used to jam quite a bit from new (stovepipe and jam loading), so i took it all apart and stripped all the paint out of the inside of the receiver where the bolt contacted. Works great now.

I had mine to the range yesterday, after 300 rounds not one stoppage. Was using factory and butler creek steel lips mags. Did the rapid fire from the hip with the Butler Creek and still no stoppages.

Clean the heck out of it!!!! Especiaslly in the extractor area, with lots of spray and try some stingers or velocitors both by cci. I had tons of jams and w/e for the first bit until I tried those 2 rounds. Try a brick of them, they are pricey but what better way to break it in then to shoot it. Then mini-mags, they are all that I ever recommend to anyone, the best imho. Remember that you can't use stingers if you have a match/bentz chamber.
