Ruger Scout Rifle Optics, what you got

I'm looking for a good (low-power) long/extended eye-relief scope for my lever-gun.

I'm mounting a barrel-mounted picatinney rail on it because I want magnification for those 100m shots.

I want a scope that; a) has an objective of atleast 28mm, b) has variable magnification (1.5 min - 10 max), c) an eye-relief of 6"-12"

Most of what I've seen that meets my criteria are handgun scopes. The Bushnell 6500 posted above is the only rifle scope I have found...

Now we're the same - except mine is a lefty, and I think my wife wants it! Ryan from SFRC got it in for me. I think he still has a matte black one in stock

Nice. Just got my lefty last week and I LOVE it. It is the perfect rifle - for me. I really like the peep sights, might not put optics just yet.

You might be interested in David Fortier's article in Shotgun News, "Scoping your Scout Rifle", where he compares Burris, Leupold and Hi-Lux/Leatherwood EER scopes. You can find it on the Hi-Lux website at hi-luxoptics.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/SGNScopingScout-1.pdf

I would suggest you look at a Burris Fullfield 2-7x35 scope as that would be close. You might not have 6" eye relief at full magnification but you will have more than enough at the lower settings.
