I had a SR9 and didn't like it. On the other hand, I just bought my G/F a M&P Julie Goloski Edition and she loves it. I don't mind shooting it either. Just have to make sure nobody see's the pink grips.
Have you considered a CZ75?

... she had better be one hell of a wife.![]()
She is ..............
She has put up with me for close to 30 years now - 29th anniversary coming up next summer - and has never complained about my hunting, shooting , and fishing.
When I quit smoking 10 years ago she also encouraged me to take the saved money and buy guns with it. Her logic is that firearms retain more value than a cigarette butt collection.![]()
M&P has had issues. Right outta the box I've seen them drop mags after every shot. 2 times this year I've seen this. Other issues include the slide slamming closed when inserting the mag with any force. Also the mag safety is harder to remove then the sr9. I had an sr9 for about 6 months but sold it to buy a glock. I had no complaints about the sr9 except the sights were not as large as I like. I really liked the look and feel of it. The grips are slimmer than anything out there in a fullsize pistol, even a 1911. It was 100% reliable and easy to strip and clean. I don't regret the glock for 1 second though. I will say my gf hates it though. Haha. I'd say go for the sr9 if she wants a small grip, it doesn't get any better.
