Ruger SR1911

I'm not sure what the frenzy is all about to get one of these. Yeah, the Ruger SR1911 is a nice looking pistol. And likely good value for the money in a 1911. A year from now there will be lots of them around for sale.

Personally, I think I'll wait to pick one up when all the hype over them is passes.

I'm with you on that. I ain't in no hurry. Got a lot of other guns to shoot until the Ruger SR1911 is easier to find.

Everyone should impulse buy as many as possible. I'm hoping to get one cheap off EE once the bubble burst. :D

When you're right, you're right. No point in anyone waiting, buy as many new ones as possible. Don't bother looking in the EE cause there won't be any. :rolleyes:
Its the EE man, it wont be cheap it will probably be more then the gun was new:D

Wouldn't be surprised to see some joker list one on EE for over retail price.

Gonna admit really hope someone at the range has one. Luv to do side by side with my Scorpion (new model that came out in 2011).

bollox> is fpb firing pin block/blunder?

FPB= Firing Pin Block.

BTW- I have had a Scorpion (1st in Canada, I believe) and although there are some things that are better on the SIG (night sights, grips are amazing, etc)

I would still lean toward the Ruger out of the two. Nice quality components, solid tight slide to frame fit, ability to find a holster and most of all, hundreds less in price.

The only thing I will likely change on the Ruger is the grips as I find them slippery.
