What have you guys been putting on your ruger sr22 for optics? I put a burris ar-332 unit on there. Definately not meant for a 22. I am going to take it off and put it on something a little more powerful. Just wondering what a good option would be to go with? Strictly a gopher gun.

Well the sparc is not a whole lot different from my burris, I feel like there is too much drop on my .22 for a red dot. I was hoping for a cheap but good variable scope that actually looks like it belongs on an sr. Thanks for the info on the sparc, I have never heard of them.

Tagged for future interest.
I have a sr22 on order, along with a vortex strikefire red dot, cheaped out a bit over the sparc as i have dont have a lot of experience with rifles and optics.
But planning on another magnified mid range scope later on

I have been trying lots of scopes on my SR-22 with no real satisfaction. I really have only been using scopes I have taken off other guns. I think I need a scope designed specifically for a rim-fire rifle. I want it to look a bit tactical so it fits with the look, but magnification is important to me so I want more than a red dot.

I took my SR-22 with newly added Vortex Crossfire 2-7x32 rimfire scope to the range today and was extremely impressed! I love this scope! The quality is fantastic for the money at only $129! I can't stop smiling. I think it looks slick on her :D

Running the Canadian Tire Tasco Red Dot on mine at the moment. Not particularly happy with it, but it works. Problem with it is it is waaaaaaay too low.

I am thinking of going the sparc route. For those that have them I have 2 questions: Where to buy and how much, and secondly I think it comes with 3 riser heights, so is it high enough?

I had one of those on my SR originally and was pretty impressed with the price and quality....
