Any screw-on AR-15 free float hand guard will fit

Does it use the existing delta ring/castle nut?
Obviously my google-fu leaves something to be desired as I couldnt find any legit website involving this topic!

Any specific parts needed to attach?

TomEGun, what's the overall length with your bottom 2 configurations?

Hi Dave;
The middle one is just slightly over 26" IIRC, the bottom one is slightly longer - maybe 26 1/2". I can check when I get home tonight if you would like the exact length. All 3 configurations use the same 8" Dlask barrel, but the shroud on the lower one projects about 3/8" past the end of the barrel.

TEG

UPDATE: I just measured them, configuration #2 (middle pic) is 26 1/8", configuration #3 (btm pic) is 26 7/8"

Thanks - I was just looking to find out if it was still over 26. I'm assuming that's why you went with the fixed stock.

The front assemble on the SR22 has a threaded end that the Ruger HG base threads on to, and then the locking ring, and the the HG 'tube' itself. From the factory, Ruger tends to use a fair amount of locktite on the threads between the front assy and the HG base.

Once you separate these parts, then like TEG said, any AR part will thread on. With the 2-part dealie I posted above, you need a AR delta ring assy which just screws on. You'll prob need an AR tool to correctly index the D-ring so your 2-part HG is aligned.

Then its just the HG and front cap. I have used a screw-on AR FSB for a HB (.750 dia) butted against the HG end cap, which supplies enough friction to keep the HG from sliding forward.

Here's a SBS:
