The resistance of the Ruger Super Redhawk is well known. One of the few frames that supports the 454 Casull.
A heavy frame, but a good one, already with a scope rail.
Should Ruger make a Super Redhawk with 7 rounds of .357M ?

the real question is how much do you need that extra round or 2- six has worked fine for about a century and a half, and if you want more , go to an auto-as for the 357, the gp100 is a pretty good match , although i have seen redhawks in 357- far too much gun for that cartridge, let alone a super- sure it's pleasant to shoot( mine weighs 52 oz) but lord it's heavy at the end of an arm- so the answer is NO- not only that but what about the ancillary equipment like speedloaders- stuff for the oddball cylinder smiths is hard enough to find

SL Variant

SL Variant makes speedloaders for them all. There is also a Brazilian trade mark that makes them for S&W 7, very cheap.
I would pay to shoot a Super Redhawk 7 357M.

In order to evaluate the ruger revolver, one has to look at it's design and engineering - it's ruged!
This was the reason why the inventor of the .454 casull cartridge, only tried it with this revolver, before freedom arms came up.

but when you start putting 7 or 8 chambers into a cylinder normally meant for 6, the thickness of steel in the chamber wall comes into question- also you have to re-engineer the timing and a whole lot of other stuff- even with a lower power cartridge as the 357- with a 6 shot, they just beefed up the mechanism- the redhawk was designed around the 44 mag, and the super was designed around the 454- even then, it has problems feeding with some casull loads- but you're STILL only at 6 shots-top , bottom, and 2 on each side

If the cilinder fits 6rds of .454 Casull/.45 Colt, it has enought space to be designed for 7rds of .357M.
A well designed compensator, and it go steady for 7.

IMO 357 mag don't need a big flame like the superhawk! the GP is more than enough. If the sixth round couldn't solve the problem, the seventh round won't save anybody.
