Is there a Ruger dealer that does repairs on Rugers in Western Canada? If not, is there a Ruger dealer anywhere in Canada that does repairs on Rugers?

If so, can you post the phone number, web address, fax number whatever.

Thanks.

Check with wholesale sports. Ruger is good at repairs. No charge even if it is your fault.Weatherby is the same . Had a problem with my old one and they fixed it...... no charge. Wish that I could say the same for Remington.

My dealings with Remington have been excellent.
I bought a used 700 rifle barrel at a gun show which turned out to be faulty. Remington not only replaced it, they let me choose whatever caliber I wanted and gave me some extra parts that I had inquired about...

There is or was a Ruger repairman out of Edmonton. I do not remember his name but I would recognize it........ I would not recommend him.

Snap Shots outside of Montreal is the only place in Canada that will do authorized factory repars! I have a 22/45 that i just recently inquired about, and i'm from Winnipeg. If you call, ask for Carole.

Hey Sir Ruger,
Thanks for the info. Made contact with Carole and the gun is on it's way. At the risk of starting a whole bunch of new threads: Is the Ruger warranty person like the Maytag repairman. There is only one because there aren't many warranty problems? I own several Rugers and they seem to just keep on working with few, if any, problems. This is only the second time in a 20 year period I have had to send in a Ruger for repairs.

I will now brace myself for the flood . . .

Hey Rugerman,

I own three of them. each one has it's own "thing" about them, almost like a personality, but overall, i'm a real big fan. I only had to deal with them once so far in the last 10 years, and that was intentionally. I purchased a M77 Mark II 30.06 from a gun dealer that was going out of business, and it had a fractured stock near the magazine screw. For 60% off the retail price, i bought the rifle, and Ruger replaced the stock free of charge under the new gun warranty within two weeks.
My 10/22 is tempermental with regard to the type of bullets it likes (i understand this is commonplace with all .22's), and it took a few years of trial and error to figure this out, but a goergous gun to hunt with. No repairs that need the attention of Ruger.
The 22/45 as you seen in this thread, has an issue (sort of) with the release button, but once a guy undertands the gun, no problem. Remember hard to release with an empty clip, easy with a full one, but Carole just said that they would look after things if i brought it in. As a result of this string, i'm choosing to work it in a little first.
The other folks i speak to that own Rugers are pleased with the after sales service. I understand that they are exceptional in some cases.
I wouldn't loose any sleep over the Ruger aftersales support. I have no problems, and the people i know are happy.
There is a place in Edmonton, but he is more into sales and non-
authorized repair work if i understand that correctly. See the attachment.
I guess compared to the USA, Canada has reletivly fewer firearms, so they only need one Factory repair centre. They chose Montreal.

Sorry for the long story, i hope this helps. I always have a soft spot for a fellow Ruger man.

The last warranty claim I had with a Ruger was a safety recall on the Ruger P-85 (slide replacement). This was sent to Davidson's Canada, where I can't remember (I was still with wife #1:eek: , so that's a looooong time ago).
Overall, Ruger is one of the best for after-purchase followup.

Hmm, I am sending in my P-85 for a repair. After several thousand rounds through it, the front sight broke in half (vertically). I don't recall ever getting a recall notice on the slide though. I will have to get Carole to look into that for me. Thanks for that.
