Rumors of a Spring Election

Too bad that we weren't solidly on track of the third way so that we could reach the mushy middle to change some minds .............

We blew the opportunity of a lifetime.

That horse is beyond dead.... it's petrified!

This next election won't hinge on guns that's for sure.

Anything to do with the trucker convoy is political poison east of Manitoba and you can't win the government without Ontario or Quebec. Just sayin.

I was listening to computer AI guy talking with Jordan Peterson a few days ago, and he said the key to giving AI the best chance of being a net good and not a tool for authortiarian control is to implement and protect freedom at all costs!

Do you think Freedom is worth fighting for, and do you think people in the East think freedom=freedumb?

I don't think it's a huge leap to bring a "my body my choice" person to see the bigger picture and recognize that it should always apply in a free society.

It blows my mind that many Canadians think that freedom is not something that needs to be safeguarded.... every night on the news they see people struggling to get some freedom and having to use VPN's to get around their govt's media/internet censorship..... well we have govt sponsored media and the bill to censor the internet is in the senate right now!

People need to park the fear, grow a pair, and stand for freedom of all kinds for all people..... even people you don't agree with.

Sadly Trudeau and his Liberals will likely get a majority next election, for one thing many Canadians keep splitting the vote with the PPC, and second Danielle Smith is going to drive many voters away from the CPC. We might as well face it, we are pooched. To think otherwise is just being naïve.

You're right, 'cause we got too many stupid Canadians who are allowed to vote.

Just curious, why aren't you heading a new or existing gun org to achieve these goals you've been talking about for years here on CGN? Trying to convince people on CGN won't get your ideas very far, if you want to put your ideas to the test... start a new gun org, I'm sure the support will follow.

No intention of starting a new org. If an initiative that's gaining influence and showing results in the USA can't capture the interest of posters on here nor that of any of the orgs what would be the point of a splinter org?

As far as existing orgs, I have approached both CCFR and CSSA years ago and except for some tepid interest they seem to have more important things to do. Like doing the same things that they have been doing since they came into being with the results that you see today. Reach your own conclusion about that ...........

And to be clear, it's not me that's missing out on a different way out of this mess, it's people like you.

Look at the election results map from the last election and see just how many red ridings in the east were only hundreds of votes away from going orange. Make no mistake, elections are decided before the counting even hits the prairies. If you are in a riding that has no hope of going blue then help it go orange, that way at least it won't be red. My riding was less than a thousand votes from being blue. This time around we will swing it.
And FFS people, don't waste your vote on PPC

Orange is red tho. Jag is Trudeaus water boy. I’m voting for Pierre P but don’t think that the NDP will be the solution either… They could actually be worse.

My cheque book is ready. My riding is a safe NDP riding. Good or bad, depends on how you look at it. I will donate to ridings that need the extra support.

So many people admitting defeat before anything has happened.

Gun owners are the whiniest group of people I read. One member on here started a thread telling fellow gun owners to go #### themselves.

AWSOME group, people.

The FUDDS that didn’t help could use a bit of a thrashing. I still hear my bolt action isn’t affected so it’s not a big deal.

The gun wedge is deployed very skilfully by the Liberals to deflect from their failings. They just plug up their bought MSM election news pipeline with "the gun debate".

Question period yesterday was incandescent when PP asked Trudeau about his plans for guns. The CPC know that their party is vulnerable on this file and we refuse to give them any political currency to fight for us. If I were to state that our problem is that we are polluted by a bunch of whining, unimaginative, defeatist, politically impotent malcontents I'd probably miss a couple of adjectives.

Anyone who watched Bobbi Ann Brady stand up in the Ontario Legislature and diss the Liberal gun plan should be contacting her with a show of support. I did.

The horse I'm riding will someday come to life here in Canada when the results of the third way become glaringly obvious in the USA. Already it has resulted in the failure of the antis to get an AR ban after all of the mass murders of the past few years.

It takes about ten years for something to catch on in Canada after it becomes common place in the USA; we're in year 7. But at the rate we're going it will be too late and this site will be filled with shoulda, woulda, coulda.

One thing distinguishes my attitude and posts - I haven't given up trying even after 50+ years of this anti gun sh!t.

No thanks, I'd rather not vote for a WEF stooge. Max was in the streets with the people and even arrested by horseback goons for standing up and speaking up against the tyranny, where was Pi'erre? If PP really is the most popular and viable candidate then who cares what the fringe PPC "whackjobs" vote for?

Pierre was out there at the convoy as well. He was buying Tim's for everyone, shaking hands and supporting. Pay attention

Some people are absolutely clueless. People like this complain about the Liberals, go vote for PPC, then complain and wonder why the Liberals are elected again. It's about the number of seats folks. It doesn't matter who you vote for, as long as it keeps seats away from the Liberals and helps CPC. However I can't in any possible way, see a vote for PPC helping out Trudeau. Not a single chance. Voting for PPC has as much weight as staying at home on election day, snuggling up against your #####-shaped pillow.

Step One: Convince your drunk uncle to stop splitting the vote by voting PPC.

I don't care how much you think the CPC is Lib Lite, the PPC will never form government in today's Canada.

Hold your nose and vote for PP - it's the only way we take down Trudeau.

This is absolutely the answer to winning with CPC, as much as some of you love the PPC, dont dilute the vote, stay stong and free vote CPC

I think you have a very good idea! I like how you are thinking.
Yes the volunteer idea is great!
Maybe if we as a firearm using community offer to teach youth about gun safety for a lesser or lower cost (Free maybe), this is a start. As people on this forum have often commented "it is not the gun that kills, it is the user". So let us all go full force out in public and teach the youth about that, especially if we teach the youth about to be of voting age..! Offer to take them hunting or target shooting. If it is not an investment into politics then it is an investment into youth and skills they can learn.

They may be bed buddies but they are not the same party. The NDP currently has 25 seats, they will never form government but if some of those red seats can turn orange it will give the Tories a better chance of coming out a head.

Good point, I called a gun smith here in NS a few years back about getting some repair work done on an SKS. I was more or less told to get lost, they only work on "actual hunting firearm's" this attitude is in part why we where we are today.
Now, they are going after everything that pretty much fires a projectile.

Not a drunk uncle but I'll be more than happy to vote for the CPC if they can pull it together and stop being a watered down version of the libs.

Watered down or not, they would not have done what Trudeau did to us on gun ownership.
