Russian Capture German K98's

Just a heads up. A few of you have K98's on lay away...something I have no problem doing. When I list new guns it doesn't mean you can keep switching out other ones with your lay away gun. Once you put a K98 on lay away I box it up and store it...it's yours.
 
Just took mine out to the range today for the first time. These things have TIGHT chambers! 1.900" measuring with a .35cal hornady bullet comparator. Comparing that to the factory round (Remington) it looks like the fireformed brass almost shrunk in size.

That combined with the sharp rifling, I see very nice groups in this rifle's future.


Oh, and for those who have never shot an 8mm Mauser, it's alot nicer than the .303 and 30-06; recoil is great and shooting without ear pro wasn't unbearable making this rifle a good go-to hunting rifle.
