Russian SKS Importation Questions.

30,000 units? Is that 30k crates or 30k guns.

For nearly a decade of Soviet imports...I'd say 30,000 is an extremely low estimate. If I had to guess its probably in the range five to ten times times that figure.

Of course it's a guess, bit I guarantee tha 30,000 is grossly incorrect.

If that figure were true, we'd be paying $1500+ USD for force matched, beaters and heavy refurbs

It is.... I pulled the estimated from old threads regarding the topic. I now remembered that each Russian that was imported into the US was given a new sequential serial to replace the Russain serial that contains Cyrillic letters etc. All you have to do is find the high number for each importer and you have a conservative estimate.

Rm is crunching the numbers as we speak.. Good thing we have an extensive database. lol

The funny thing is that you are all wrong... You can see the actual figures that Ukraine & Russia sold if you look hard enough, and to which country specifically. Heck, there is even a thread on it.
 
Sold vs made it out..... two entirely different things. Besides, you have already proven yourself a liar.

CA received "under 36k" from the Ukraine from 2008 to late 2013 via North Silver to Germany for pinning then to CA via Marstar.

There was a small batch in late 1990s.... no more then 2.5k guns

Few other recent importers snagged 2k to 2.5k each.

44' containers, 64 crates per, 960 guns in a box.

You have roughly 45k in Canada..... sorry my friend.

There are now two threads on SKSs argued by US members about how many SKSs were brought into Canada and what’s a refurb and what’s not.

Why does this matter? Is there a Nobel prize at the end of this research? Do you get to be the Grand Poobah for finding the answer?

I’m sure 99.99% of us don’t care. Gun goes bang, rinse and repeat. If rusted, throw away and bring out the next one.

When hard claims based on zero facts regarding CA import numbers via US import numbers and how superior CA sks owners are and subsequently their knowledge....... why not separate the fake news and get down to brass tacks? This is a different thread, a thread that may pop a few swollen bobbleheads that like to talk out their azz.

I don't bother nobody until they start crawling up and hunch my leg first. So why not find out roughly how many Russian sks made to CA vs the US? Is it going to ruin your day, are you going to die?

whatever Canada got the sks's that were hand built by Putin himself WITH his shirt off, rumor has it he shot a bear AND a tiger with each one

I dunno, our 2A is under attack every single day. My passion is the SKS, and would only wish to exchange information with my northern brothers!
