Izhmash is the factory the “Izzy” was made at ..... fewer SKS were made at this factory and the quality is, by some, considered to be better too. Most SKS were made at the Tula factory. There will be markings indicating this information on the rifle.

Probably a sticky about the SKS in the Milsurp section on here and YouTube and google can answer questions too.

Here is a photo of my two 54s, Tula (left) and Izzy (right). Also note a diamond or square with a strike through it (as seen on the Izzy) indicates the rifle was refurbished.

Pardon my inexperience with SKS rifles, but what exactly does the term "military rearsenals" mean?
Trying to understand if these are unissued new vs. refurbished.

It’s a $209 sks there shouldn’t be too much thought put into this, buy it, clean the cosmo, shoot it.

Rumour has it, new supply coming in the Spring, Chinese surplus, so, if you was a good shooter sks, this will likely be the best price you will find. Either way, these will sell out soon! Get two, 2 is one and one is none!

LOL, I had already bought one before I read your reply, and you are right. I have two already, a Chinese and russian, but I think my russian is a BBQ paint one. So this will be a nice addition.

Awesome, so, now you need to cover them with garbage bags, ( gun condoms) so they don't multiply, I did not do that, and, well, I can't spit without hitting an sks in my gun room!
