I get the feeling they are waiting for the election outcome ....libs in sks out , conservs in sks in , i would bet this is what's happening , no one wants to lose any $

on the contrary , if i were bell i would rush it in before the house votes on the ban (regardless on who wins) , remember these are all pre-sold so as soon as it hits our shore , its practically on its way to us . :dancingbanana:

well , i dont know for sure but then why bother letting 100 SKS45 into the country , should they not stop that too ?

i believe the delay is due to red tape , red tape with other country, country that the shipment must cross .

thats why the small 100 rifle didnt have any problem bcos it was flown here .

If that’s the case, than why it is not limited to imports from one country of origin? It seems that ALL sks imports to Canada, from ALL countries of origin have dried up.

i have seen small amounts of new norinco SKS sold in the past year ... for large shipment you have to talk to the big importers why they arent bringing them in .

well , when i started this thread , i switched my frontier order to SIR so im not on frontier waiting list .

i would have tried to get one of the 100 if i didnt have one already (bot a couple years ago) besides i didnt think i stand a chance of getting one when existing order has first priority (and it should be) . i figure at least a quarter of the existing 400 back order at frontier will take up the offer .

mine from SIR will be here soon enuff ,

Still sitting tight waiting for my x2 from SIR and my x2 from Frontier. Passing on this 100. I have an unfired Chinese SKS sitting in the safe waiting for the outcome of this year (?) long saga. I'm determined not to fire it if I can get my hands on these Russians... but it's killing me! ;)

Well I'm not sure about the 100 that have arrived,I ordered mine april and I suppose that would put it with the large shipment I don t know?
I'm pretty sure the election could determine wether we recieve them or not..

I was way down on the Frontier's list but I got one of the new ones (new shipment). Give Marlin a call. You may still get one.

Also, I ordered a crate of Czech ammo. How do day compare to the other surplus 7.62 x 39 in market? (I know this should go to the Ammo forum, but maybe a quickie......;)

correct me if I'm wrong, but SKS45 original capacity is 10 rounds internal box magazine. Shouldn't the Importer/Seller modify it to limit to 5? Isn't this the reason SKSs are not allowed (delayed) to Canada?

Yes, mags be blocked prior to importation but it's most likely red tape and inefficient bureaucrats t oblame for any delays.

The mag blocking should have been the first thing discussed by the buyer(s)
 
Russian sks

Hey guys i was wondering if anyone has actualy got their hands on one of these new 100 sks's? I spoke to frontier and they said they would have a new shippment in 1 week. Just wondering if its the original batch or a new one on the way?
 
I ordered one of the early 100 rifles and a case of ammo. Says they will ship out mid Oct, so should have it by halloween. :D If all goes well of course..

Ok, got it all sorted out! I figured that i should snap one of these 100 up before theyre somehow prohib! I guess i'll see it in about a month if all goes well..... Heres to hopin the libs dont get in and ruin all the fun!
 
Ok, stupid question but I don't really keep up with the politics. Apparently I should vote for the Conservatives, but if the other guys get in will they make SKS illegal? Thanks.
