lou-the-rich , i guess you can afford to pay $50 more (per rifle) with frontier.
 
SIR: not a scam. Good folks. Probably large volume of sales, so low prices. They sell so much hunting / fishing / camping stuff.

Well, maybe. Hmm, actually, no. But... I did tell Marlin I'd buy a rifle of his.

My word is worth a lot, lot, lot more than $50.

Did I say I'm old fashioned?

Now, if Marlin was to send me a message saying he'd lower his profit margin, I would not oppose, of course. ;)

How does SIR ship firearms?
With shipping included with Frontier's deal, the pricing could be pretty close to the same.
Plus, I've heard a lot af bad talk of SIR on this site (I've never bought from them so no direct experience)
I have, however, had a positive experience buying from Frontier ( not to mention they are a supporter of this site)

from frontier : As a benefit for placing your order for these rifles you will receive FREE SHIPPING, you pay only $229.95 plus GST. $241.45 Total delivered, Saskatchewan Residents add 5% PST ($252.95)

my two SKS from frontier is $241.45X2=$482.90

my two SKS from SIR is $364.28 , difference of $118.62 , they are charging me $15.70 for shipping two rifles to BC, thats really cheap.

That is quite a big difference.

A few inquired on SIR's shipping of the SKS. If you are new you provide your PAL # , name place of birth....they ask you this over the phone so it's easy (and they are polite), credit card # etc. Shipping cost as follows. Rifle $165.99 gst $8.30, shipping to me is $21.47 (gst in this price). Total cost to me is $195.76. Your shipping cost may vary a small amount but it won't be much.
 
As my last post said they are polite. Since this thread was put up the poor woman at the other end of the phone (at SIR) won't know what hit her today. LOL She might not get a coffee break.

I'm going to have to agree with you Lou, and as someone else pointed out Marlin at frontier supports this website, in the scheme of things $50 is nothing to me anyway.

i called her 9.30am her time and before i hung up i told her you are gonna be busy today and she chuckled and replied "im guess so" then i started this thread.
 
Well, being that I can never pass up a bargain, I just ordered one up from SIR.
$187.89 all in.
I think the last batch of Norincos were more $$.
I'll probably end up sticking with my order from Frontier as well, after all, one cant have too many SKSs can they? And, I've got all this PVC pipe laying around from the last time I went on an SKS binge (when the Feds were talking confiscation), you just never know!!
 
Well, I ordered online. We'll see how that works. Can't beat $364.28 for two.

The last batch of Norinco's were retailing as high as $225.
 
do you fellas realize whats happening here?

there will be a container full of russian SKS hitting our shore in a month or so , that could be as much as several hundreds rifles. members will have our fill and we will be talking about our simonov for months to come , probably pushing the chatter of norinco SKS to the back ground.

as a result i have done a research on the russian SKS (indentification and markings) , to be posted just before the arrival.
