Thats funny, cause I just ordered mine yesterday afternoon.
That's a good sign..., that SIR is still taking orders... Someone "in the know" @SIR must be expecting more rifles than they have backorders for. Otherwise, it'd be a pita for them explaining "what happened" to all the disappointed customers wanting their "backordered" sks's...

wow..you're new to this thread eh? The reason prices can go up is they havent charged you yet, just taken the order. SIR probably does not pay for their sks until they get them, if they pay a higher price than they were quoted due to the status of the $ then you may end up doing just the same when paying them. Crappy deal, but it's how business works.
that can't be right because i have a confirm order from sir saying that i will get a sks rifle for this price. its like going to a store picking something up there is a price tag on it telling you the cost so when you pay for it the cashier tells you it will cost you more. well iam sorry you pay whats on the price tag and that confirmation is like that price tag. hey 1300 do u get what im trying to say? i know i sound like an ass but like you said its just business

I agree with you here, BUT what "sounds" right and what "is" right aren't always the way things work.

Nothing personal, I fully understand what your saying. Unfortunately it's not a question of whether you have a legitimate point or not. I'm sure all of us disagree with it sometimes but the way things are, are the way they are. Even if it sucks.
It's just business. Working for a company that imports from US distributors I see it all the time. Dollar fluctuates like crazy. No one likes to put prices up, however selling items and making no profit doesn't put food on the table and it doesn't pay the bills.

on the flip side , during the year long wait , circumstances changes , many members back out of their orders , i didnt hear dealers say they couldnt .

Ahh......you did post this in an open forum,did you not? Well guess what anybody that can post here,can also add their comments. If you don't want anyone else to answer you,do it in a pm. Seeing as how you're new here,you obviously don't understand how things work around here. That's ok,it takes time for some people to get a grasp of it. Might help your cause if you were a tad it nicer to people though. Or at least I think so.
I received confirmation that the Frontier rifles were going out this week. I just hope I am home to receive it though as my wife doesn't know it is coming.
(She's not much of a fan of firearms, and definitely not a fan of me keeping this from her and then getting it dropped off at the front door by a postal carrier!)
