Generally it's NOT a good idea to do too much cleaning of older milsurp rifles if collector value is a consideration. I am NOT talking about regular cleaning here, but deep cleaning such as sanding wood or rebluing. If it's a shooter grade rifle, & you want to dress it up, go for it.

I am going to shoot it!! There's tons of them coming in the next while. If I want to buy something to collect I can always buy more. I would rather enjoy my never been shot by any one but me Russkie!!! Plus I am anal about cleaning so I'm sure it will all be ok. If my stock is extra gorgeous I will trade of with my Chinese stock. Yay! I m getting a new gun..... One day. LOL.
 
Might as well shoot them. You can't take them with ya! My best friend's mom died yesterday. She was only 66. Life is too short, have fun, shoot your guns! RIP Mom #2, love you.
