Not exactly. What's the character after the numbers. The X was added later on the Bells. The letter series are reported to end with "K" the A with the cut off top is really a D and it is from 1955

Ok- it took me a while to post this, but my letter is "И" and that's two (?) characters from "K" in the Cyrillic alphabet, so I'm going to conclude that I have a '56? Sound right?

Is it known what letter Tula was at when '55 changed into '56?

I've been talking to some of the old time SKS Collectors about these letter series. Popular belief is that there are 5 letters in the series G D E I K. I've only seen D,I,K myself. Some think G was not used.
