Russian WOLF 7.62 X 39

I have hundreds of wolf hollow point ammunition left over from when it was available.

Hollow points blew things up right nice, and was non-corrosive. Never had an issue with FTF or anything of the sort.

Wish i could get more still.

I have found that the Wolf hollow point is great stuff, but steer clear of the Wolf "Military" blasting ammo. this is the stuff they sell for about a buck cheaper a box and has stupid camo on it. I bought 100 rnds of this crap and every 4th or 5th round I would have a FTF. The second time the primer was hit it was good, but its not worth the buck you save for the headache. Other than that Wolf is good for 762x39 and i am into 1000+ of the 223 in my ar adn not one stopage.

regards,
gavin

I dont know I have had good luck with the Wolf Brand Military ammo I just came back from a Rifle course I used 1500 rnds of ammo over 2 days in a AK47 with out a stoppage it works great I would suspect your rifle may have issues ie firing pin

I had the same problem with my mini-30.. about 4 out of 10 had good dents in the primer but did not fire.. I was starting to get really concerned about the rifle, until I tried them in my sks and the same thing.. failure to fire.. good dent in the primer.. they usually go off the second time I run them thru..

What you have was "creatively imported" in Canada ... For the price it's excellent stuff, but last I heard anyone who has tried to get some from the Russians failed, they won't bother to cater to a market as small as ours so pretty much their whole production goes to the US.

Quite a discussion considering complete absence on shelves of all of the ammo mentioned.. :( Is there at least any chance of getting it eventually? Do you know if someone is working on it?

well your mini 30 762x39 has a .308 bore and not a .311 762x39 bore anyways.
So no matter what you shoot other the nthe winchester 762x 39 your goig nto have problems.

Our's doesn't, but the US Govt does.

K i need some clarity here cause I have been hearing all sorts of things about people going down to the states and not being able to buy ammo!
I just not 2 weeks ago talked to the ATF in Montana and I was told that you dont need any kind of permit or anything to get ammo in that state , as I am thinkin about going down there to get some ammo!
The lady told me I can pretty much get whatever I want and just make sure I talk to the Canadian border serevices and make sure i can take the stuff back!
So what is the real deal here???

As a non-resident alien, you <may> be able to purchase ammo while visiting in the US under special circumstances, but not a single one of those rounds can (legally) exit the country without the proper export permits, which is a State Department matter.

That makes sense now , thanks !

What would South Aftrican non -corrosive with brass shells be worrth ??

Is it the stuff that comes in the red box? I picked up a bunch of that stuff for 8 dollars a box of 25 , its all non reloadable but super accurate , better than the czech surp that I have been shooting! If you can find it , I would buy as much as you can. I havent been able to find ant since.
