So who still has stock or is getting new stock? Anybody know?
When I ordered mine, Epps was down to 1 (on order). You might have some luck if you call and ask for Dave.

I'd prefer to stay with the six rounder 686 I have rather than have to buy all new speedloaders. Also my little brain would have to adjust to the extra round. PPC is also geared to the number 6 in the various stages. Don't like the look of the unfluted cylinder either. Price is definitely good though at TSE.

BC Mike, you have some very good reasons why not to buy one. I tried and tried to tell myself why I didn't need one also but the combination of a 5"bbl, 7-shot, unfluted, limited run was too strong to ignor. I'm a weak person.....![]()

I want one for the same reason and to be the younger brother of my 6" 686 Classic Hunter (unfluted cylinder as well) that I bought in '88. I don't PPC so the 7 shot cylinder isn't a big concern for me when I'm paper punching...
Also, when I called TSE this evening the lady told me that they have 'quite a few' so I'll finalize my sale tomorrow morning when I'm at work and can fax over the information they need. Can't wait, the fever's peaking and I'm giddy like a kid about to get their first piece of........![]()
The one I do find quite unattractive is the Performance Centre 627. The Barrel doesn't do anything for me.
BC Mike....you mean like this one? That's ok, I'll still let you try both of the "unattractive" HG's if you're every in the areaend Quote]
Well I wouldn't kick it out of the safe for eating crackers. When I win the lottery maybe. And I do get to TO once in a while.
an FYI for anyone trying to track one of these down. I called CRAFM, hoping I could pick one up locally... No dice. Frank had two in the store yesterday morning, both were gone by this morning. He thinks he just might get a couple more in by next friday, but really couldn't commit. He wouldn't even take my money to reserve one just in case they didn't show up.
So I bit the bullet, called TSE and mailordered one.![]()
Congrats on your purchase....It's amazing to shoot and even nicer to look at!
Far from biting the bullet I'll bet you paid less and will probably get it quicker this way. +5 to TSEan FYI for anyone trying to track one of these down. a friendly voice made it much easier to justify maxing out the cc... thanks.![]()
on your shoulder..that devil can be good but bad with the CC's...lol..enjoy and thank you!Far from biting the bullet I'll bet you paid less and will probably get it quicker this way. +5 to TSE
for some reason i have it stuck in my head that i get stuff quicker buying locally. i haven't done much mail order, and i've never dealt with TSE before,
so you may be right.
you are 100% correct that i saved money. even after shipping and taxes.
Because of price difference and stock availability I have bought 3 new handguns in the past year from dealers in Alberta although I like to buy locally. In each case the price after shipping was lower and all were registered and arrived within 5 business days.
