S&W M&P 15 Sport II - Convince non-AR owners to take the plunge with new price drop?

Just bought my first AR today from Al Flaherty in Toronto, free delivery. I've wanted one for decades but couldn't justify the cost. Then Norinco came along and I could stand the quality...Finally the best of both worlds.

Glad to see I wasn't the only impulse purchase on these. Hadn't really wanted one but became interested with the 'sale' on with everyone. Just about got one a couple weeks back but hesitated too long. Then the nice people at Frontier Firearms started a thread and the rest is $$$$ to the gun gods.

Google will translate the page somewhat. Some translations are a bit odd shall we say!

It's getting reeeeaaallly hard to resist at these prices

Resistance is futile. LOL

Seriously though, once the supply dries up, these will very likely go back up in price to at least $799 - $849 or higher. The S&W website lists them at $739 US with street pricing @$600 US. Simple conversion at todays exchange puts it over $800 CDN.

Yes anyone that has never fired a AR, please do. I seriously recommend it. I enjoy shooting all of my different guns, but shooting my 2 ARs are in a whole different category of experience. I seem to love them more every time I take them to the range.
Selling a S&W AR for $699 is a great service. That's quality (they'll work. S&W doesn't make junk), for an affordable price.

I was going to respond to someone's post earlier when they mentioned that they had their 22lr rifle look similar and it was non restricted. I have a sr22 that feels like an AR and has AR furniture on it, but i'm sorry it doesn't compare, cause it doesn't shoot 5.56. The wonderful 5.56. It's loud, fast, has little recoil (which a brake will practically eliminate), very accurate.

I enjoy shooting my sr22 a lot, but if I had a choice: I would just shoot my ARs all day, every day, all the time (between eating and sleeping)

Kelly's has just announced a May Long Weekend Sale, $649.99 for the M&P15 Sport II. I have bought from them before, good guys.

Do I need a second one?????

Sigh. I hope this pricing is still around by the time I complete my Restricted course. (Yes, I was one of those idiots who didn't do a combined course because "meh, I'll probably be content with NR's for a while.")
