was out at the range this morning practising with my mod 24 nickel. each time i take this thing out i am absolutely staggered by the accuracy. double action at 15 yards and 25 yards was acceptable. single action at 25 yards offhand was devastating. my final three shots i decided to shoot for accuracy. new handload consisting of a speer 240 gr swc and 6.6 gr unique gave a group of .965" offhand. scary thing was, the third shot went off before i had lined it just right and was low as i expected. WOW.
i have written about this revolver before, but i will try and get a pic or two up here.
i highly recommend this model of revolver to anyone who is looking. i've also heard the .45 colts are quite accurate as well.
