So that's a mouthful but according to the owners manual that's what it is.;) It arrived from Wanstalls in today's mail. :d

A couple of scratches on the case but all tools and original paperwork are there (papers indicate purchased March/77). The serial number dates the manufacture to 1975-76 according to my SCSW. The gun doesn't seem to have a mark on it and there is no sign of it ever having been fired after it left the factory.

So, now the question is....do I shoot it?

I would definitely shoot it. Even though it looks unfired, you have no actual proof that it is. If you take good care of it and shoot it sparingly, I'm sure that you will keep it in mint condition.

Very nice! I'm glad to hear that yours is in exceptional condition. I'm hoping the Model 53 I bought will be similar. It's suppose to arrive on Monday. Can't wait! Have to use some of my precious Jet Mag ammo though! Glad I have the .22 inserts from my other one.

Looks great Sailor....and yes, shoot it. I'm waiting to get my 625-2 to the range, just got 15 moonclips and the tool....Seems like a lot more work than pushing a handful of .45s into my P220 mags!

Very nice gun there Sailor, hope it shoots as nice as it looks. Here’s my 5 screw Target model of 1955 Pre 25 (this one’s around a 1955 or 1956). I had Murray Charlton give it his “Distinguish Tune” and added some Coke bottle grips. These Smith and Wesson 45acp wheelguns are a ton of fun!
