S&W Model 41 or something else in .22LR?

If you're a fan of precision and enjoyed shooting your rimfire rifles @ 50M... why not try a Free Pistol, like the TOZ-35

Yours may be lighter. I`m pretty sure mine read 1.5 pounds. on my friends trigger guage. I just converted it to OZ.
I am not sure when my 41 was made. I should look that up. Can the pull weight be adjusted I wonder.
I tested my old 41 and it comes in at 27oz average but the range was from 20oz-32oz, my newer 41 comes in at 26oz with less variation.
I was curious about my Smith 617 and it was 3.28 lbs

Those are both decent.
I like the 1.5 pound pull on my 41, but i am curious to see which notch of part 55 the spring is on. If I can make it lighter, I want to try it out. My Prohib 617 no dash had an incredibly light single action pull, but I could not hit with it. I hope to get another prohib 17 or 617 one day.

The 20oz was a dry pull with the gauge not with live fire.. it feels good around that setting and not too different from the new 41.

I'm reluctant to change the settings as the pistols just shoot fine and there is a risk that they may balk at lighter settings

Weight isn't the only factor in a good trigger. I've shot some light triggers that were still crappy.Sometime too light is bad as well. I actually increased the weight of my free pistol trigger to allow better control.BTW the weight limit for ISSF pistol competition is 1000g (2.2lbs) for rapid fire and standard pistol. 500g (1.1lb) for air pistol. No restriction on free pistol.
