I am looking for a Stainless S&W Model M629 in 44 Mag and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I should expect to pay for a used one in reasonable shape? Thanks.
Get a NIB 629 Classic with 5" barrel....they're around $1,000.00. I owned a 6" barrel one, the BEST .44 Magnum you'll ever own, same as my Desert Eagle XIX Polished Chrome .44 Mag.
Peitro, I'm interested in buying a S&W 29 or 629. I'm a total noob for asking this question: Besides accuracy, is there any difference between the 5" and 6".
I just passed my PAL/RPAL. Looking forward to some shooting.
However, I fired over 1500 rounds of 9mm and 40 but not revolvers in Cali and Arizona.
Cool! Thanks for the info! I always wanted one of these revolvers and I don't need to explain why. LOL!
Oh, I actually fired a revolver before. I don't remember the name, but it was a compact one and I believe it used 357 magnum or something like that. The rental guy said sorry, the 44 magnum is busted, but try this one instead... it provides the same kick.
Range Officer: Where abouts do you live? If you live in the GTA, Ontario area, let me know where you're going to buy your S&W for the best price! I found some stores that sells them, but they're almost 2 hours drive away, the S&W 629 6.5" is almost $1k. I may consider used too. But I wouldn't mind having a brand new shiny 629.
