Good advice. Get used to it then decide from there. Not necessary to rush into anything.Just grab some ammo if whatever weight(s) you want. Seriously, don't upgrade anything until you've had time to figure out what needs upgrading. Enjoy.

Get a big, dirty crate of ammo. Shoot it a bunch. Find a reputable, professional trainer and take a course or two. If this is your first AR, courses are a great way to talk to the instructor and other students about what works and doesn't work for them, and probably get to go hands on with some of their modifications to see what you like.
I just picked one up too and it is my first AR, so far so good. Will be looking at optics in the near future I think, be nice to know what works for you guys?
I realize this is the best advice, of course. It is still fun to think about while waiting for Canada post.
If you mean getting a deal on ammo on the EE??I may not have many options for courses in my area but I'm hoping to try some three-gun.
I'll be sure to creep on the ammo forum to find something to put through it. Thanks.

This fore-grip should be about the right size. Cheap and effective.

You forgot car sticker with AR on it. What kind of AR operator are you without a sticker?

Sport II will need carbine length HG.
