Sad news about my shotgun

On a lot of items, the US exporter has to have an export licence, some parts are now exempt from also needing the export permit, and they are two different things. Non-US citizens cannot buy an export licence, or a permit, if it is an item that requires it. So, even if it is under 100.00, or 500.00, and it still requires an export licence, and we cannot get one of those from the US gov't. I find it hard to believe Prophet River can't get the parts for all the Huglu's they've sold. But, it may also be there is something different about the CZ, and Huglu has some kind of agreement in place to not sell those peculiar parts to a non-CZ customer.

Anyway last fall it stopped firing the right hand barrel. It would click but no bang. Put a piece of paper in and no dimple. So broken firing pin right? No big deal.

Sent it out to gunsmith. Where I live there are no awesome smiths so anything like that needs to be mailed. Got the call yesterday that it is a broken cocking arm. They cannot source a replacement so gun is now a single shot.

I don't know how the internals are designed on these but this seems odd. Wouldn't the barrels drop down activating the cocking arms which #### the hammers, the sears engage in the notch on the hammers, when the triggers are pulled the sears lift out of the notch and the hammers fall? You say when the trigger is pulled there is the click of the hammer falling but no primer strike? If the cocking arm (lever) was broken how does the hammer get cocked? Do these use coil springs for hammer springs? Wouldn't it have to be a broken hammer spring causing a weak strike or a broken firing pin?
