EDIT: JR has already been in touch with me about the results I've seen and we're going to be working on figuring out what's up. I'll update this post with results of troubleshooting
Edit2: manufacturer is warrantying this as they don't consider the accuracy I'm seeing to standard for the rifle they're selling as they want it to be.
So the results were a bit more interesting than expected. The rifle ran well, there were a couple little hangups but I was running a mixed bag of ammo through an out of the box rifle. nothing a quick rack of the charging handle couldn't sort out.
I want to preface this by saying that I did not clean the rifle before hand, it was in good shape out of the box. I did replace the trigger for something lighter. These are the first rounds shot so the barrel my have some unpolished burs that threw some of the results off?
With the right ammo I think the accuracy is acceptable but nothing to write home about, however it seems to be very picky about what ammo it likes and there doesn't seem to be a lot of consistency except maybe heavily favouring boat tail projectiles
Next steps are strip, clean, make sure everything is snugged up and then next weekend I'll go back out and retest with at least some of the ammo, specifically the bulk stuff to see if maybe it just needed to be worked in and lubed up a bit.
https://imgur.com/a/FpSUpnG <album with all pics, I'm going to outline some notables below. #8 was my bad, it shot lower than expected and 3 of the 5 rounds we just off the target
Pictured is the rifle in it's tested state:
Barnaul surprise:
75gr AE:
Big disappointment is bulk 55gr FMJ which was all over the place:
Double edit, test was done at 100Y. fairly standard but I figured I should be clear.
