SAKO 85

I had a Sako 85 with Leupold Medium rings and standard sized 3-9x40 scope, brass would hit the scope. I'm sure had i used high mounted rings i wouldn't have had the issue, but one doesn't pay 2500+ to have a rifle act like that from the get go, or to have high rings to have poor chin weld to the stock. The dealer took back the rifle, so that was great on their part.
I guess it's the luck of the draw with the Sako 85. Some guys with the M action have experienced this ejection problem, but my .270 Win. with the M action has ejected perfectly with my fairly low-mounted scope.

Very nice rifle! Mine had the M action. I wish it never hit, i would have kept it. I always had a liking for their looks, especially the Grizzly model.
After the dealer took it back i decided to go for a Sauer 101 select.

My Sako 85 has done it once that I know about.

I opened it slow not looking at it and felt it eject and land back on the rifle, when I looked down the spent shell was backwards in the action.

Then I looked at my gun closer and the windage scope turret cover has brass dings all over it.

Mine is .22 250 and I've shot it many times and havnt noticed it once when it mattered.
