SAKO A7 - feeding problems

i had big problems with my a7 mags, and i have heard of others as well. send the mag back. the advice to modify it is horrible. this is a new gun, and if it does not feed properly get it fixed. I am very happy with my a7, but the mag is a dissapointment.

Well, for anyone else who is having an issue, just have the dealer replace........

They are aware of the issue, but are not broadcasting it, and are dealing with it on a one to basis, you ##### and complain you get a new one, you don't, they will not advise anyone.

Why the issue, this is not known either, no one would say anything, other than they have come across a few.

Either send it in and get it replaced (if your not close enough) or go to the dealer/distributor, as we did (STOEGER) and have it replaced right there and then.

thats right. when i finally found the right person to deal with at stoeger they were really good and got me a magazine that worked. untill i made some noise, and found the right person to talk to about it.. nothing. my original magazine would empty to mag rapid fire out the breach when ejecting a spent round, or when inserting or removing it.

Why?

Because I don't shoot game with snap caps. That's why.

on my 300 win mag the mag length is very close to the max saami cartridge length. within about .010 if i remember right, and i wasnt impressed.. i think it is because they squeeze the 300 win mag into a medium action? anyways, i stuck federal premium ammo into it and its shot great right from the start.
