Just in case anyone is interested..

I did the Toaster oven treatment on my sam.

I only went to about 200 deg F as I was worried about going higher. I'm considering doing it again as I didn't see much difference after.
 
I don't know how they would compare to STI but I know that a lot of guys have been saying that they compare well to the RIA. They are supposed to be well above the workmanship of the Norinco.
