Well it's already begun. I'm waiting for the transfer on my Ruger MK III and I'm already playing the "What do I want next??" game. I knew handguns would be like eating chips. Better had by the handful.

I'd like a .45 but my wallet screams every time I think about it. So 9mm it is. I'm researching a bunch of options. I'd love a 1911 because I've always wanted one. And I keep looking at the SAM Sigma 9. Just wondering if anyone here can chime in with their experience with one. Most reviews on other SAM 1911s are positive for the most part. But I can't find any reviews on the Sigma 9. It looks to me like a 4" bushingless 1911 with the Canadian legal barrel on it. Also wondering if the recoil springs on a bushingless 1911 are different than the normal springs or regular Commander springs work ok.

And I know the standard answer to the 9mm 1911 question is "Buy a Spartan." But that's not in my budget. My local dealer has a couple of Norc NP29s but I'm leery of them after a couple of recent threads here on CGN.

I don’t own a Sigma 9, so I can’t comment the gun itself. What I can comment on is the quality of SAM guns as I have the SAM Military 1911 9mm Enhanced Stainless. All I can say is you will not be disappointed with buying a SAM. My Enhanced 1911 (very similar to the Sigma) has such a nice finish and feels solid when you hold it. To top it off, the slide to frame fit is bang on, better fitting then what I’ve seen from higher priced 1911’s.

It's hands down my favorite gun of the three I have (Girsan and CZ75b)

Hopefully someone can chime in and answer your actually questions.

Norc bashing isn't warranted.
I've got a 29 and probably around 5k down the barrel. The last 1500 were lead alloxed and I never cleaned it through the 1500. Trigger started to stick at about 1300. But only once in awhile.
Throw the norc mags out. Their not worth s...... Buy some after market quality mags and the gun runs great.
I also buffed the trigger a bit and took off all the sharp edges.
For under 400 its great the gun is spot on at 30yrds.
