SAO (Single Action Only) Advantages/Disadvantages in a 1911? Any Sig 1911 reviews

I was looking at a few 1911's and I see there are some SAO designs, any thoughts?

Interested in buying a Sig 1911, just wondering if there are any reviews on them. I have had 4 Sigs and loved them all but never a 1911 by them.

That's what I thought... I was looking through Questar's Sig 1911's and some said "SAO" so I thought there was some variation with the trigger.

Under further inspection every one says SAO in the description... and only a few in the title. Thanks for not flaming me for my stupidity. I had a GSG and shot a Kimber in the states, I already know this! :redface:

Is a 4.5-5 lb trigger pull standard for a 1911? I'm interested in a Sig as they are on sale in questar's fall sale.
 
Sig makes a good 1911 IMO. Fit and finish is very good. Not exactly "traditional looking" but Im ok with that. Nicely priced for what you're getting. I don't shoot my Blackwater edtion much but when I do it is the most accurate HG I own.

Nice, Questar is having a sale, this is what peaked my interest. Can get a nice Sig 1911 for $899 and up. Yes, I know there are cheaper 1911's, but I've always had good luck with Sigs.

I was SOOO close to dropping $$ on the Ruger SR1911 but I love Sigs. I lost out on the Sig deals at Questar with the 1911 models and they're all backordered for 12-24wks. Can't find many stores with Sig 1911's in the $1100 range and if they did, they were overpriced by $150-200 compared to other stores. Called up Wanstalls and they had the Sig 1911 target Nitron in stock.... SOLD! Should be arriving in a week or so. But can't shoot the damn thing till I get a LATT.
 
Damn you Padawan! I love that Nightmare. Wanstalls have them in stock but they're $1299. compared to Questar at $1087. That's a HUGE diff in pricing. :p

Check their site.... Nitron Carry, Scorpion full and carry size, Tacops, MIA all showing in-stock. Sig 1911's are pure asomeness!
Padawan...how does the fastback grip fit?

It fits perfect. The bob-tail is fantastic.

Sig also has their name on a decent 1911-22. (Also avail/on-sale @ Q)
I just picked this one up and its a great plinker. Hasn't been fussy on ammo and accurate enough for some inexpensive shooting. It's seen 500rnds with only 2 fail to fire due to dud rounds(Win555's)
Fit and finish is VG and the mag is well built. Its not as heavy as my BW Sig but comes close with the mag inserted.

I have a suspicion that Sig 1911-22 is made by GSG and is re-branded... anyone confirm that? It's not a bad thing if it is, GSG is a good gun.

According to a 1911 forum, it is indeed the same pistol.

Just ordered a Sig 1911 2-Tone Match Elite for $1024. Now the waiting game... It will look something like this:

LOL, bastard! Haha. I should have a Sig 1911 Target Nitron in about 10 days if all goes well with the SATT. I think I'm going to add a magwell so the bobtail wouldn't have worked out. Can't just have one 1911 anyway. I'll add a Nightmare Carry later on. :)
