Incorrect is incorrect... possibly...
If a manual action firearm is manufactured to be shorter than 26"OAL when it leave the factory, then it is still NR. If it leaves the factory longer than 26"OAL and you modify it to the become shorter, then that would change the classification. Restricted if you purchase a factory bbl that is short and the OAL is under 26" or prohibited if you've cut the stock or bbl and it is under 26" OAL or bbl length is under 18 inches.
Because the SAP6 left the factory with the removable stock I presumed that the RCMP would have classed it like a pistol grip only shotgun with a 12" bbl and therefore manufactured to be less than 26" OAL and still NR.
If the RCMP classed it with the stock on it, then it would be just over 26" even with the 12" bbl (I think. I'm going to measure soon). If that's the case, then taking the stock off, could change it's class. Hopefully TI can make an official statement about this so potential buyers and current ones know. If removing the stock changes the class, then that selling feature is no longer a selling feature to those that may find it useful.
