Sask big game draw?

Hi ###XX,
We apologize for the delay with the Big Game Draw and any inconvenience it has caused. The cause of the delay was an error that was occurring with the online application on May 30th and 31st that was causing several applicants to be overcharged. It took time to identify all the overcharges, fix the problem, and issue all the refunds. We will be looking into taking measures to make sure that it does not happen again in future years. I am hopefull that we can get the draw run and results posted by the end of this week, but I can't guarantee it and it could be early next week before results are available. Thank you.

Email response early in the week. Guy was prompt and polite about it. Not sure why they couldn't run the draw before/concurrent with fixing the billing problem ....I guess to be charitable they were concerned it might do the same thing for successful applicants

Well said, Duffy!!! The SERM computer crashed about 6 weeks ago and the results are supposed to be out by the 18th of Jul. I'm very happy with both the application process and the results. But then I did get drawn for moose and mule deer in my local zone, this is going to be a good season!

Ditto for me.
Not my best year but neither my worst. I have elk in 07A and antlerless mule deer in 29E.
For those who didn't get anything, a little hope in this quote from the Hunting Guide:
"... Antlerless mule deer licences not sold through the Big Game Draw may be available from select ministry offices after August 1. ..."

A funny story about the name SERM. When they were deciding to change the name one of the guys in the PA office sent in a suggestion of SASK PARKS ENVIRIONMENT & RESOURCE MANAGMENT, the office staff in Regina were not amused as it spelled SPERM. My sister used to work in the PA office, she had lots of good stories.
