I just had this exact discussion the other day. I have spoken to 2 C.O's in Regina and one via the Saskatoon call center and have been told 3 times now that it is LEGAL to hunt yotee's anytime of the year regardless of big game seasons. The only 2 restrictions are: #1 don't hunt yotee's in the Regina/moose jaw shotgun zone until AFTER the big game season is over in that zone. #2 No yotee's when accompanying a big game hunter unless you have a tag for the specific season. IE no taggin along to shoot yotee's.
side note: if anyone want's to do some calling in the Regina area. count me in. I seen about 20 yotee's this morning and they are getting prime.
