Hi guys,

I’m building my first target riffle and I was wondering what you guys recommend me for a muzzle brake that will not blast other shooter at the range. Also would like to stay bellow 100$ if possible.

For a Savage 10 TR .308 20” barrel 5/8-24

Thanks for your help.

I use a no name brand that was on sale at colonel mustard, does the job!

I was using one of their lightweight muzzle brakes on my 10TR. I couldn't really notice a reduction in recoil, but the rifle was too loud to shoot comfortably with my Howard Leight's on. So maybe don't buy one of those :(

I think I am in the same boat...not loud, just no notice in recoil reduction.

Before I buy that tomorrow, how is that brake?

Pretty much a PA M4-72 clone, so no issues there with effectiveness.
They are slow as #### to ship however...buy from one of their dealers if you can, or expect 3 weeks to a month to receive.

My vote goes to insite arms heathens
Easy to index, not loud for the shooter (can be loud for others), nice reduction in recoil.

On my 10TR tried ATRS, bardger ordnance FTE, and now heathens.
